I was very surprised when I found the chapter about Gumatti.
About the figures, I like the khaki I have found, but I need to be a bit more fine with the painting (it is really hot here in Granada, these days...) because these figures are not so fine as those from Empress or Foundry.
I like a lot the Empress figures; they have a lot of detail in their clothes, that have a lot of volume. In fact, they have much more character than the figures from Foundry. I would like, also, to see knives in the figures, something I think would be more common than the tulwars in this period, but there are no one knife. Like you, I´m awaiting eagerly the Indian troops; eagerly!

Juan Mancheñohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07761893327024556857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-524687988228302815.post-90283317228874062602013-07-24T22:02:56.270+02:002013-07-24T22:02:56.270+02:00Thank you a lot, Fran. The figures look good- I like your treatment of the Woodbine figures, that his a very nice khaki you produce and I like the green of the Kullah. So your first Empress Afghans painted, how do you think they compare to the Foundry tribesmen? I like the Empress figures a lot, particularly like the variety in both footwear and turbans My one complaint about the Empress figures is that none of the ones I've seen have knives in their belys/sashes. Only those carry tulwars appear to have bladed weapons, which appears to be contrary to most descriptions, but other than that I think Mr Hicks work on these figures is brilliant and eagerly await the British and Indians to oppose them. moonshadowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11372089125688050755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-524687988228302815.post-58645701536390996332013-07-24T16:07:25.559+02:002013-07-24T16:07:25.559+02:00Sounding like an excellent scenario Juan and beaut...Sounding like an excellent scenario Juan and beautifully painted figures too!The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-524687988228302815.post-79108627107982196842013-07-24T15:33:14.315+02:002013-07-24T15:33:14.315+02:00Looks like a good scenario.
